It's great that dissent is now out, and Jane and I are really pleased with it.

It is the latest in not a very long line of cd’s that I have been involved in.  But the production of those cd’s has been over a long period!  The range of cd’s track a journey from American roots music, dominated by my slide guitar playing, to a much more English style, inspired by people like Martin Carthy and Chris Wood.

We are already working on a new set of songs and tunes and I am developing a style that incorporates slide guitar into my traditional English approach - its exciting and challenging.

Local singer and environmentalist Peter Nalder has contacted me and we are talking about a project that will include the production of a book of songs and details of local traditions, as well as a cd recording of some of the songs Peter sings at Wassail events.  Really excited about it and will probably be taking part as a musician and as the recordist.

Also, been talking to Simon Care about his early plans to record songs and tunes associated with John Clare - hope I’ll be able to sit on on some of that.
